About Us

G.R.A.C.E. Homes was founded out of a deep and enduring love for children—especially those who need it most. As lifelong advocates for youth in foster care, we (Dwight and La Tricia) established our Residential Operation Facility with one purpose: to provide safety, stability, and compassion for children during their most challenging moments.

Our journey began in 1994, when we opened our hearts and home as foster parents. Since then, we have fostered more than fifteen children and have been blessed to adopt six of them as our own. As parents to four adult children, two school-age children, and grandparents to five, our family has grown in love, resilience, and purpose.

We are passionate champions for children and for the foster care system as a whole. La Tricia] currently serves as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in South Texas, using her voice to stand for children who need strong and consistent support. With more than 32 years of experience as an educator, she brings compassion, insight, and dedication to every child she serves. Dwight, a retired firefighter and inspector with 35.4 years of service, brings the same commitment to safety, care, and community that defined his career.

Together, we have built G.R.A.C.E. Homes to be a place where children feel valued, protected, and understood. We are honored to open our facility to children who need a nurturing environment while their parents take the steps necessary to rebuild and strengthen their family. We hope to offer parents peace of mind, knowing their children are surrounded by care, stability, and genuine love.

At G.R.A.C.E. Homes, every child matters. Every story matters. And every family deserves the chance to heal and flourish.
